STEP 1
Cut the Speaker Hole
Use the included cutout template to mark the mounting position. Cut all the way around the circle with a cutting saw.
STEP 2
Wire the Speaker
Route the wire to the input connectors. Insert the conductor into each spring loaded connector.
STEP 3
Install the Speaker
Insert the speaker into the hole until the frame is flush with the ceiling. Tighten all four screws to mount the speaker.
STEP 4
Attach the Grill
Install the grill by simply pushing it evenly into the hole until it snaps in place.

Perfect for my home surround system
I installed them in the ceiling and I was very happy with the outcome of sound and look. The installation was easy. I saved $700 I was quoted to install them.My Sony receiver STR-615, a top of the line back in 1998, is still doing a wonderful job with these new speakers.It is very hard to find the sound quality at this price. I highly recommend them.Update after one year of use: extremely happy with this purchase. The sound quality of these speakers is great and the price is unbeatable.

WAY better sound for the money!
I gave them 5 Stars for 1 reason, they sound REALLY good for the price… no, my bad, they sound WAY better for the price point. I bought 20 speakers for in-house music on my new build, and I’m VERY happy. The installer was skeptical, but came around when he heard them. He had to admit they sounded just as good as speakers selling for $300 to $400 a pair, you know the brands. Get them… enjoy them, and keep you wallet happy 🙂

Great speakers!!!!!
I bought these in May 2023 after closing on my home. I bought 2 sets. Installed 4 in the main room, 4 in the master bedroom and 2 in the master bath. I have to say, they sound AMAZING!!!!! I have owned Bose, Klipsh, Infinity among other speakers. These have a fantastic soundDue to them being 3-way, they put out pretty good bass on their own without a subwoofer as is the case for the bathroom speakersIf you know how to install yourself and are not afraid to cut into your ceiling and make a bit of a mess while installing, not a difficult DIY.You will not be disappointed!!!

For the price, its hard to go wrong
Just finished installing them. I went from an older pair of Bose 301’s to (4) celling speakers. I’m using the setup for ambient background music. I’m pushing them with a 15-year-old Yamaha receiver. From an overall sound quality over (2) Bose speakers is a vast improvement. I have a 2-story house with about 16” gap between the floors, so once installed they sound good!Pro’s:Cost effective (I went with the 5-pack of speakers. I’m using 4, keeping one on hand in case one fails in the future.)Cons:Just like everyone else here, the front grills need to be redesigned! They are over difficulted to work with! As for removing the grills, I ended up using a tiny nail and worked it around the edge slowly prying the grill off. As for reinstalling? There’s no easy way to get them back on! I had one that I fought with for 15 min! I ended using a pair of tin-snips and made a small cut on the edge to take some pressure off the edge as to slide it back on.I would have given it a 5-Star review, but the grill issue needs to be addressed. Overall I’m very happy with them. For the price

These speakers are excellent! Initially I was planning on buying some Polk Audio ones which would have been a significant amount more but I decided I didn’t want to wait and save so I got these instead, and I’m quite happy with them. I had no problem installing them, the included template makes it quite easy. Tip- make you know which way your ceiling trusses run and cut towards them first in case you need to adjust the placement. The sound quality is very good, even at levels that make it somewhat uncomfortable to hear there is minimal distortion. When I have it cranked up I can easily hear it 20-30 ft outside of my house. I have them connected to a Sony STR-DH790. As far as value is concerned, these are probably the best bang you can get for your buck.

I prewired my new construction home for 14 speakers. I moved in December and since then have been doing tons of research on in-wall / in-ceiling speakers. I was ready to spend about 1.5-2k on more commonly known brand name models (Polk, Boston acoustics, Klipsch, etc..). Then I came across these on Amazon and thought i would gamble with a set of 5 to see how they would sound in my living room. I have 10ft ceilings so i went with 8′ 3-way speakers while using 16 guage speaker wire. Needless to say, this is one of the best, and a bit lucky purchases i have made in a while.My only gripe is installing the cover grill once you have secured the speaker to the wall. The first speaker took me about 1 hour to install, but the rest went by much easier once I got better with the drywall saw and knew the exact size the hole needed to be. Reinstalling the grill cover was a challenge mainly due to the fact that after you have mounted the speaker to the ceiling the plastic frame may have warped ever so slightly. If your hole is too snug it will warp the frame just enough to make the grill hard to fit. So, I grabbed a pair of needle nose pliers and made a crease on the lip of the grill cover (the part that’s folded up that wedges into the housing). I just grabbed about 1/4 inch of the lip and turned about 90 degrees and repeated on 4 sides. this reduces the circumference by some millimeters to make the grill fit in a little easier. Be careful not to twist too much.After install was complete i hooked up my speakers to my onkyo receiver and played some tunes on stereo mode so i can stand below each speaker and was immediately impressed. Good bass, mids and highs. I added a 10″ sub to give the movie effects that added boom factor.Im looking forward to buying the other 9 speakers i need at the fraction of the price of the higher end brands. I will save about 1.5k with these speakers!

I thought that for the money I paid, these would be a little shoddy….NOT the case at all. They are well made, easy to install and sound excellent. The front screens are a pain in the neck to get back on when the speaker is mounted, but patience will prevail.Honestly, these are really good. I’m thrilled to pieces. Such good value for money.
