But I don’t need my large crock pot for just myself. So it’s a great size for homemade split pea soup for me (enough for 2 servings).

This is the second one of these exact slow cookers I have bought. It is used almost every night on warm to cook steel cut oatmeal. First one was bought in 2020 and recently stop heating enough to cook the oatmeal to our liking.Quick delivery and back to our mornings of delicious hot oatmeal with maple syrup.

Small but perfect
I’ve had this 1.5 quart slow cooker for a few years now, and it is perfect for small meals, the kind meant for a single serving each for 2-3 people. NOTE: This is NOT merely a food warmer! It genuinely gets quite hot on the High setting, easily cooking a small pot roast, little smokies in barbecue sauce, soup, the works, and does a great job at keeping a simmer going on Low for true slow cooking all day long. Even more wonderful (and amusing), it fits perfectly inside my 7 quart oval-shaped slow cooker, so it doesn’t require much in the way of storage. (My 4-slice toaster takes up more counter space!) I’ve been recommending this to people right & left, and I hope the company keeps producing the same level of quality!

Unless you still have kids at home, the regular and large size crockpots are just too big. I had a small crockpot that I donated away when I got an instantpot, thinking I wouldn’t need it anymore. Seems silly to have two appliances when one would do the same work. But the slow cooking settings on the instantpot just didn’t do it for me. The high, low and warm settings on this slow cooker are just right.

I was happy to add a smaller size slow cooker to my collection. It definitely comes in handy when you want to cook just a little bit of something. But, I’ve only been using this for four weeks, between one to two times a week, and today it no longer works. None of the settings provide any heat at all, and the unit remains stone cold. It took me a few hours to realize this, as I was out working in my yard and looking forward to having a nice supper cooking away for tonight while I work outside. When I came inside it was then I realized that it was stone cold. Very disappointing. I have been using slow cookers for 35 years now, and two of my four cookers are the originals from 35 years ago. I have never had one stop working, so I have to wonder what went wrong here, if it was just a bad unit or if the quality is just not there. I would definitely not purchase the brand again either way. As other reviewers mentioned, I also found that the lid did not seem to sit tightly on this slow cooker, and the lid is super important! And as another buyer said in their review-DO NOT BUY!!!!
