    Lacks Low Bass and Soundstage
The performance of the Edifier ES300 does not justify the price point.Pros: Sleek design and nice, responsive touch control panel. Rechargeable battery allowing mobility so not tied to AC power. High end Bluetooth codecs supported. No detectable noise interference at low volume end, and no distortion at high volume end. Wi-Fi connection option (but limited, see Cons below).Cons: Lacks punchy, low bass. No soundstage. Sound across spectrum is flat, not crisp. Wi-Fi limited to Apply Air Play. Does not support Tidal Connect.

    Edifier is the best!
This is an amazing speaker! it sounds so good, and it looks amazing! I have many edifier products and they have all been amazing and fantastic build quality. This speaker has a very good looking exterior, the grill is unique looking with a metal mesh. The rest of the speaker is covered in a leather like material that looks premium. Sound quality wise, it sounds great even at higher volume, and with a speaker this size it’s surprising how loud it can get. The price is high but you really cannot beat this quality. I’ve had speakers from other brands like B&W and this edifier speaker is my favorite, even just sitting on my shelf it looks amazing! You can’t beat the looks or the sound! 10/10!

Love this; Great sound; just not ideally portable
Not quite as portable as JBL or Ultimate Ears because it’s bigger and has no handle, however, it’s easy to charge, holds a charge for a long time and has a great sound. It’s very easy to use. I’d recommend it more for indoors than as a nice household speaker. Due to its size, weight and no carrying strap, I’d stick to one of the more portable brands for picnics, pool parties, etc.

    Meh
Nice looking, but the power is lacking for the price point (or anything over $150). Also, these speakers don’t truly provide multi room playing. They will only play one speaker at a time on my mesh WiFi network. I asked support for help and they told me I had to use two different phones with one as a hot spot that would be dedicated to the speakers. No thanks! Even if I get them all on the same mesh beacon, there is delay. The S300 is the same price with much more power, though it has the same deficiencies with multi room playing.

I wanted a Bluetooth speaker to listen to music or shows while doing housework or cooking, so I got this Bluetooth speaker. The Edifier ES300 offers very good sound quality with a stylish design and versatile connectivity options. Its long battery life and ambient lighting make it a nice addition to my desktop or kitchen space.Pros- Clear and powerful sound with deep bass and crisp highs- Supports Hi-Res audio with LDAC for high-quality wireless streaming- Multiple ways to connect: Bluetooth 5.4, Apple AirPlay 2, USB, and AUX- Up to 12 hours of battery life on a full charge, good for extended use- Attractive ambient lights that are subtle and customizable- Easy-to-use touch controls with volume and light sliders- Built with quality materials, including a wooden case and leather-like finishCons- Touch controls lack tactile feedback and can be tricky to use without seeing them- Relatively heavy for a Bluetooth speaker, not easily portable- Separate Edifier app needed for controls, and app can be unintuitive at times- Battery life may vary with volume and light settings- Not waterproof or suitable for outdoor use in wet conditions

I’ve been using this thing since it arrived anytime my headphones die or whenever my hair needs to dry and it’s been a really convenient edition to my office space. It’s definitely a little bit too powerful to use at anywhere close to half volume let alone max volume, and when you use it at even mildly above moderate volumes it can get very muddled and crackly sounding. The quality of the sound itself is fairly good, producing a much richer depth of sound than the low-end speakers I’m used to. The one and only major issue I have with it is that its bluetooth functionality sucks; I’ve used it on both android and my linux desktop, and in both cases I’ve had issues with it not only suddenly dropping connection but changing volume at seemingly random when it’s not being fed a constant stream of audio. I had it connected to my phone to have it play a podcast while I was exercising, and when the episode ended I left and went to the washroom; seeing that it was still connected when I got back I just popped on a new episode and the audio sounded like an off-pitch explosion and the voices of the casters became utterly unrecognisable. If you’re intending to use this over bluetooth just don’t bother. Wired seemingly doesn’t have this issue from the few times I’ve tried it, and frankly the threat of bursting my ear drums over a bug with bluetooth makes using it wirelessly too dangerous for me personally. Overall I still recommend it to anyone except those who intend to use it over a bluetooth connection as other than that bug it’s still probably worth the ~$400CAD(price at time of writing rounded up)
