I love these lights!
I am in love with these lights! I love setting the mood in my room and these lights go above and beyond giving me the ambiance I desire. It was quick to install, no hassle whatsoever. It was a great price and the quality is fantastic. They have not shown signs of falling off and they were easy to connect and control in the app. I would 100% buy these again!

These little kits are great! For just under $13, it adds almost endless illumination possibilities. Fun to mess with and get the right mood for game days or movie nights. Excellent bang for the buck! Well constructed and easy app functions.

White?
Very very cool, easy to apply on the back of a tv and love how it can display multiple colors at once. Only complaint is when displaying white its not very good. Being behind a tv 90% of the time i have it set to white. Well it dosent display white. It displays this very light purple, or I guess you could say the white had a purple tint. Its really disappointing the ones I had befor where cheaper and still displayed a better white.

Wow. They really do sync with the T2. They really work. I’m blown away. Makes me want to throw a rave, but the fact that I can setup a nightlight schedule is enough to justify them.The fact that I can throw a dance party or crazy movie theater night makes these special. Great way to highlight your TV
The box is nicely packaged with all that you need. It comes with the LED strip, instructions, AC power brick, and adhesive strip brackets. The package arrived in perfect condition and is sealed ensuring it’s a new product.The LED strip has flexible spots at the corners allowing it to bend for easier installation and better hold on the TV. I wiped the TV down using Windex to get the dust off, then used the alcohol wipes to clean off the surface a bit more. Each strip has paper protecting the sticky part, so I did one strip at a time. Working from the corner closest to the power outlet. It took less than 10 minutes to install it. I did use the brackets in certain spots but don’t think it was required. They do place spaces on the strips for the brackets do they don’t damage the LEDs. It was a very well thought out product.I did have the app installed from another product of theirs. Finding a new product was quite easy and took a minute for it to SYNC. The interface has quite a bit of options but users can customize it. Its fun to play with the different options, color schemes. You can control brightness so it’s not too loud of colors.There is a features that allows the lights to change with sound. You can choose from the device (TV) or your phone. The colors don’t sync to the scenes but still pretty cool to play with. Considering the price for the product, I find no flaws in it. I can also add other Govee products to the app and I can choose which ones to control, so there is a plus in that.

Unconventional use of Govee TV Backlights…but it works!
I purchased this backlight strip out of frustration from lights that went out on my wreath. I thought I don’t want to spend $100 on lights that will match the tree because I purchased the Christmas tree lights from Govee even though they’re amazing. But I have a small wreath and I wanted beautiful vibrant lights like the ones on my tree and the ones that no longer work correctly that came with the wreath. I looked at many different lights and nothing was going to match. So I actually asked a question under this product if these lights would work on a wreath and it came back with “absolutely and it would look amazing”. So I figured I would give it a shot. I got an instant coupon savings of six dollars and thought well it’s cheaper than the ones I just bought that look like garbage. These can’t be that bad. Well, I think they look amazing. They match the colors of the tree. I can almost match the white in the garland around my fireplace mantle. All in all, I’m very happy. I hope that Govee will at some point release a smaller string set for wreaths, Garland, etc. maybe around 20 ft or so with 75 lights.

I wanted ambiance but this is more Vegas strip
It’s been 10 years since I bought LED lights for the back of a TV. The first set I ever bought was for IKEA and they seem like antiques now. So I was excited about new LED lights. It was all simple enough if not a little cumbersome to install. The wiring in between the LED strips that allow for the turns are not intuitive and refuse to lay flat. But once I had it all installed on the back, it looks pretty clean from the front. When I first turned them on using the attached control box, they are extremely bright, too bright in fact. But after downloading the app and signing up for yet another account to control some piece of technology in my life, I was able to adjust the brightness all the way down to one percent, which was an acceptable level for what I was looking for, I was excited to play with the settings and see the different “scenes “these lights can do. Aside from one or two examples in all the preset scenes, It is very difficult to find something where the lights fade together seamlessly, instead, the LEDs all seem to march around the perimeter of my TV turning on and off in a very staccato, abrupt fashion that reminds me of the Las Vegas strip rather than seamless ambience that should be accenting the room rather than catching my eye, distracting me, and attempting to give me a seizure. All to say, I will keep these lights. I will use them simply to give some ambience and color to my room at night by accessing the app and turning it down to about 1% to 5%. I will not use all the crazy scenes because frankly they give me a headache. From the looks of it I can probably customize some scenes myself, but in the 10 minutes I took to play around with it. It is not intuitive and it would probably take me five hours to achieve my goals. Not worth my time.
