Does the job
This blanket works pretty well. It gets a bit damp, but is acceptable. It is a nice size for our needs. Seat about 4 comfortably. It is a bit bulky, but folds up nicely.

Smaller than I Expected but Nice
I know the size is listed but it is hard to imagine what that will really be like. Saying 4 people can fit on it is fair but pushing it unless those people are all sitting cross-legged and don’t really have stuff (beach bags, picnic items, etc). I got another one that didn’t appear to be much bigger per the description, but was HUGE when unfolded. This one is nicer than that one as that one was more like a tarp, but it really isn’t for more than two people especially if you want to lay down or spread out, and if you each have stuff. It isn’t hard to put down or fold up, but it doesn’t lay nicely, particularly if there is the lightest breeze, which seems to be pretty much a given at the beach. Once on the ground, it stays down pretty easily, but I didn’t notice anything that would help (for instance, a sand pocket on the corners on the bottom). When unfolded, the velcro is exposed, so it gets sandy pretty easily but also can get your hair or whatever stuck in it. So that’s where you probably want to put your bag or shoes. The blanket gets sandy easily. You are at the beach, that’s a given. But it does come off pretty easily when you shake it off – easier than a towel. You will trap sand in it, especially if you are folding it up yourself, so you have to do it on the sand, but just open it at home outside and shake it out before you open it in the house to wash it. The waterproof bottom worked well for me.

Gave this as a gift to a family who brought an 18 month old to the beach with us! Last year I brought mine to the beach and never got to use it cause the bebe was on it. Cotton quilted top side, water proof underside, rolls up compactly to carry.A great size, too!
