smells good, not basil
The candle smelled really nice and i did enjoy the scent but it smelled less like basil and more this a soap or lotion, it wasn’t very big(which i knew) but it burned very fast even for a small candle, im not sure its worth the full 4$ but i would buy it again.

Great fragrance, hidden wick
I bought this because I love the smell of the Mrs. Meyers lavender hand soap and the candle smells the same so I’m quite happy with it. If you’re not familiar I will say that the smell is not exactly like most lavender scented things—it’s sweeter and a little spicy too and the aroma is quite strong. I just burn it for 20-30 minutes at a time and the scent lingers all day.I’ve seen a lot of reviews saying their candle arrived without a wick and at first I thought mine had too. Turns out the wax had just come loose in the tin, so it was out of place and hid the wick. I gave it a solid thump on a table and the wax fell back into place, which revealed the wick. So if it looks like there’s just a hole instead of a wick and there’s no space between the top of the tin and the surface of the wax, give that a try.I haven’t enjoyed the other Mrs Meyers candles I’ve had (honeysuckle and peony—the honeysuckle smelled fake and the peony didn’t smell like anything at all) but you can’t go wrong with lavender!

smells great but price point is too high
I disagree with the reviews that say this doesn’t smell like lavender. It does, it specifically smells like an excellent, very fragrant, lavender essential oil, and I am pleased with the scent because it smells EXACTLY like the soap; which I LOVE. the dish soap; many times has uplifted my mood and shaken me out of depression while doing the dishes. and now i can have the scent in my bedroom. I give the candle itself 5 stars, for the high quality. but the price used to be 5$ and I paid around 9$…and the candle is about 1/4 of the size I thought it would be. its not a great value for the price point. its way too small for what you pay for. and while I kept it instead of returning it. I will not purchase again at this price point. instead, I will get bath and body or yankee when they are on sale. or perhaps this when it is on sale. but I refuse to pay too much for this. and decided it was worth a try to indulge myself. but I will know next time the ad is deceiving. when I say small it is about one inch high and 3 inches across. its tiny. especially for 8-9$. ridiculous.

Great Natural Candle
Mrs. Meyers makes products with natural fragrances that are not too strong or chemical smelling. This candle has a relaxing lavender fragrance. Be aware if you plan to burn this for extended periods because the container will heat up once all the wax is melted.

I absolutely adore this new scented candle from the mrs meyers line of scented soy candles. The “peony” scent is not too too strong and overpowering but once you let this candle burn for about 15 mins my bedroom smells like freah flowers. Its a small candle with a lot of life it seems. Ive been burning this candle for the most part of 2 days now and its like the energizer bunny i swear. Just keeps going and going. I always like a tin candle, so when its time to put it out i dont have to worry about setting my overly sensitive smoke detectors off lol. I highly reccommend for anyone looking for a stocking stuffer (some people start early lol!), or a gift to say “i was thinking of you”, or for someone like myself looking for a lovely scented candle on a bit of a tight budget, then this is it. Highly recommend and definately will be reordering.
