Rubbermaid Brilliance BPA Free Airtight Food Storage Containers with Lids, Set of 4 (4.7 Cup) Ideal for Lunch, Meal Prep, and Leftovers

Good quality but impractical
Pros: These are a great size for leftovers, they seal tight and do not stain. They stack nicely in fridge or freezer. Have frozen tomato sauces and berries, and nothing stains.Cons: They are very hard to open so not good for things that you would open frequently like cookies or snacks. The lid should release when side clamps are lifted but it takes a lot of force to break the seal and sometimes have to pry open with a spoon. They never get dry in the dishwasher, and the lids come out dripping with water because the seal holds water. They are bulky to store because the lids take up a lot of space. Same issues with the larger sizes of these. The Rubbermaid Tritan containers are more practical for most things, and if bulky storage is not a deal breaker, brand name glass containers would be better.

Consider these disposeable. They don’t last. But they are awesome while they hold up.
These are amazing for a short time. Love how they stack, they don’t leak, and they are easy to clean. Being lightweight makes them easy to take to work. They also have a large interior capacity in relation to their size/weight. However, within about 6 months, the lids started to crack. Now three years later. All of the lids have cracked from the same injection point in the center. And now, because they leak through the crack. They aren’t all that usable anymore. These are awesome. But consider them disposable.

great food containers! Update
I have been buying Rubbermaid for years, and another brand. I found a set a while a go that had the large unit on this set. When i saw that this set has 2, and for the price that i saw, it was a great deal.Unfortunately, what arrived is not what is the main photo. I use the tiny, small, medium and large for the 4 sizes that are on this Rubbermaid Brilliance Storage set. The box came with 4 tiny, 4 small, 2 medium and 2 other sizes that i didnt know that Rubbermaid had. They look like the medium but a bit taller, maybe 30 to 40% more storage. No way near the size that is shown on the photo. Those 2 large containers are the ONLY reason why i bought this Rubbermaid Brilliance Storage set.I tried calling Amazon, and tried and tried. There is no number that I could find that did not have a recording that at the end of a 50 or so second message and didnt hung up on me. So i tried the robo return. I stated that I did not receive the large containers that i wanted and i would be getting a replacement. I was stoked…. until the replacement arrived. The new box was exactly like the 1st one, no large containers.My next step was to contact Rubbermaid directly and there i was able to talk to an ACTUAL person. I explained, i showed proof of purchase and a photo of what i received. I told the Rubbermaid CSR that i only bought the Rubbermaid Brilliance Storage set for the 2 large containers. She said a size, and i told her i dont know as long as it was the large containers that I wanted. I was please to talk to someone and I would be able to get the 2 large containers. Until the replacements from Rubbermaid arrived… it was the same stupid medium size containers from the 1st 2 shipments.I was angry by this moment and replied to the Rubbermaid email i received asking for feedback on my recent transaction. I sent i screen shot from the Amazon website showing all the sizes, a picture of what arrived, a picture of what i wanted ( what i have at home), and another long email that I would like to see this matter resolved and i was sending photos because no one could understand the size of the container i was asking for.Its been more then 5 weeks now and I have not received any email, calls or smoke signals stating that they received my email and what they could do to rectify this situation. I will not be buying Rubbermaid anymore. The other set is blue anchor. It does not come with the clips but when i dropped a medium size container full of soup from 4 feet up, the container did not open, spill or break. And the price compared to Rubbermaid is only 10 or 15% more.Due to an error and lack of any type of reply, Rubbermaid lost a long standing customer.**UPDATE***I received an email 2 weeks after this review from Rubbermaid stating that they had a large volume of calls/orders and were backed up. In the email, seems that someone with a brain finally looked at the photos and saw the difference between what arrived and what was shown in the original Amazon post.A week later I received 2 of what I call the large containers, I think they are 9.3 or 9.something cup containers.I updated my review from 1 star to 3 stars. This incident took more than 2 months to come to a resolution. While I may stick with Blue Anchor for a while, my love for Rubbermaid is back, tentatively.I do hope that Amazon reviews what some sellers post and makes sure what is listed is what is actually in the box.Thank you for reading this review and have a better day than me.

Great looking but short lifespan!
These containers have leak tight tops, stackable, clear so you can see foods and don’t stain. Unfortunately, that is where the good news stops. We purchased these in October 2023 and we were down to 7 out of 44 containers by November 2025.Even though they say they are microwave compatible they will crack like the pictures shown. Generally we washed these by hand even though they say dishwasher safe. Rubbermaid has always been know for quality which is why we bought them. We don’t feel pricing 2 year product life.
